Following graduation from the University of Dundee in 1999, Richard moved from native Scotland to practice and clinic ownership in London.

He has worked with several top London clinics including Chelsea Dental Clinic and Harley Street Dental Clinic. He now divides his time between work at these locations with other clinics across the capital and the south.

He quickly developed an interest in emerging dental technologies and holistic therapies to complement conventional treatment. He also discovered a passion for detoxification dentistry, which has seen him free his practice from the use of potentially harmful metals and materials.

Richard is an expert with CEREC production, with which he creates stunningly lifelike crowns and veneers in a day.

His patients benefit from a host of complimentary dental treatments like platelet-rich fibrin, ozone therapy and IV nutritional therapy, which together unite oral health with fuller day-to-day wellbeing.

Richard also has a special interest in orthopaedic and early-intervention orthodontics with which he has treated children as young as five years of age.

His expertise with adult orthodontics led to Richard gaining a diploma in orthodontics and later being invited to join Patrick Grossman’s world-leading multidisciplinary team for the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorder.

Richard’s extensive postgraduate training includes a certificate in implantology. He is experienced with single-day procedures and zirconia implants as part of his commitment to metal and toxicity-free dentistry.

His uniquely multidisciplinary experience and expertise have earned him key opinion leader roles with leading global dental technology names.

In his spare time, Richard enjoys hot Bikram yoga, a round of golf and playing the bagpipes – although not in the clinic!
